Events: The 55th Annual Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival

This past Sunday, the 2nd of December, The 55th Annual Christmas & Holiday Festival took place.  The parade route began at the Contemporary Museum of Art San Diego on Prosepect Street and continued through Girard Ave. Highlights included, beautiful horses drawing carriages, fancy cars, decorated pooches, two camels, and a bunch of eager children waiting to see Santa Claus.

Local stores participated in the event by decorating their windows in ornaments and tinsel garlands.  A particularly cute display was a poinsettia Christmas tree, located outside of the Hotel Parisi and Victoria's Secret.

The famous La Valencia Hotel aka the Pink Hotel also had a lovely Christmas tree.  If you are ever in the La Valencia make sure you check out the two Pomegranate window displays in the hotel lobby.
